The device’s battery life depends on several factors: battery size, communication frequency and scanning time. The larger the device’s battery, the longer it will last proportionally. The frequency of communication (times per day at which the device communicates) also influences the less the battery will last, for example, for a given battery size, a device that communicates once a day will last 5 years, but if it communicates 2 times a day it will last 2.5 years, inversely proportional. About the scanning time, the longer the actuation time, the more number of child devices around it is able to detect. Ask for a battery life estimation table based on these parameters.
Yes, our platform allows you to configure the geofencing detection radius, depending on the type of location (unauthorized, logistics center, store, etc.) in such a way that it can be adjusted according to the size of the location or the importance of its detection. It is also possible to configure virtual perimeters in the form of a polygon for those cases where it is necessary to discriminate between adjacent locations.
Our devices are capable of locating any asset anywhere, thanks to the hybridization of three different positioning technologies that complement each other to ensure full traceability throughout the supply chain. Firstly, AGPS technology allows to locate outdoors with an accuracy of 1-2 meters with an extremely small power consumption that allows the device’s battery to last up to 10 years. Secondly, WiFiTracking technology makes it possible to locate indoors, in cities or on industrial sites where GPS coverage is reduced, in this case with an accuracy of around 20m. Finally, with Cellular Location technology, we can position any asset where there is coverage from any telephone operator globally (99.9% of the territory) with an accuracy of around 300m. Our Location Engine algorithms merge the three positioning technologies to obtain a single combined measurement with the highest possible accuracy at all times.
The implementation of the platform is done in a matter of hours, however the manufacturing of the devices requires several weeks, especially if there is a need to make a custom adjustment for a specific package. Demonstration kits are available to quickly test the operation of our solution.
The flexibility of our platform and its configurability and autonomy allow you to locate both containers and any other asset of interest in the supply chain. You only need to attach one of our devices to the asset and you obtain a total and global traceability of the asset.
All devices are rechargeable, thus contributing to the reduction of waste and promoting the reuse of the device itself. We have a device recycling and recharging program in which WITRAC is in charge of recharging and repairing any detail. We also have a version of the device with a watertight USB-C connector for autonomous recharging by the customer.
